From the postgraduate training bulletin.......
With the support of the Research @ Melbourne International Research &
Research Training Fund (IRRTF), the Faculties of Engineering, Science, Business and
Economics, and Land & Environment have partnered with three Indian Research Institutes
(Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore (IISc), the Institute of Technology
Kanpur (IITK) & the Institute of Technology Madras (IITM)), to develop a
new collaborative research training group called the Melbourne India Postgraduate
Program (MIPP).
The four faculties involved in MIPP will offer
16 PhD scholarships to attract the best Indian and international students with
associated support for research exchanges, joint seminars and projects. The
program will commence in 2014 for Melbourne PhD candidates to be
co-supervised by academics at the Indian Institutions and vice-versa. The next
round of the scheme will open in early 2014. Read
