2015 PhD program entry at Melbourne - Apply by October 31, 2014 - Funding deadlines sooner!

As our department moves toward a coherent four-year PhD program in Management and Marketing, we have moved from rolling applications to a fixed deadline. That means that the cut-off date for all applications will be: 31 October 2014. More details here: http://fbe.unimelb.edu.au/research/degrees/management.

After this date, applications will be reviewed together and offers made simultaneously.

The shift to a four year program will also mean that we will not require candidates to nominate a supervisor prior to entry. So, although you might like to work with me (yay!), you don't have to decide that until later. Candidates will have until Semester 1 of Year 2 to make arrangements for supervision and finalize their dissertation proposal. This is not to say that students and prospective supervisors cannot make some commitment prior to entry, but should they not have a supervisor or supervisors then the Director of the program will be listed on their application as a provisional supervisor until arrangements for supervision are finalized.

Remember also: earlier funding deadlines, especially for international students. (This is good practice, we sometimes have to start working on grant applications a year or more in advance.)
