Westpac PhD and f/t Master's Funding (31 Aug 2016) - Australian citizens & PR

Call for recent graduates of undergraduate and honours degrees to apply for the Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship - $120,000 over 2-3 years. 

Open to Australian citizens and Permanent residents only.

Westpac have allocated us between 4-5 scholarships for next year. Apparently MBS did not have any eligible PhD applicants last year.

Applications close 31 August 2016.

The scholarships are valued at up to $120,000 over 2-3 years and may include funding for an international opportunity. Recipients will also take part in a Leadership Development Program and become members of the Westpac Scholars alumni.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates to develop their leadership capabilities in one of three priority areas:

• Technology and innovation
• Strengthening Australia-Asia ties
• Enabling positive social change

*Applicants must also apply separately to the University for admission to their intended course.

*Applicants for a PhD must obtain the support of their intended supervisor/faculty.

Requirements

• You are an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• You have completed an undergraduate degree after 1 September 2011, OR will complete an undergraduate degree in the year of application
• You have achieved or are on track to achieve an average result of H1 or H2A equivalent (approx. 75%) 
• You have chosen to undertake a full-time Masters by coursework or research of a PhD at one of our nine participating universities with demonstrated world-class capability in the proposed area of study 
• You must commence study following the year of the application.
